Members of the BRYC Recreational Soccer Executive Committee, the BRYC Board of Directors, and our soccer referees, along with some of their families and friends, installed a new ceiling in the Community Room at the Kings Park Shopping Center. During the two-day project, our volunteers removed over 1,400 pounds of old ceiling and transported it for proper disposal, repaired the ceiling grid, then cut and installed almost 300 new tiles in the 1,800 square-foot space.
Their effort followed the replacement of old incandescent and flourescent lights with modern LED fixtures by BRYC parent and master electrician Ryan Walls of Sarah and Family Electricial
. Wall repairs and painting were completed by BRYC Softball coach and board member Travis Hersey of Hersey Handyman Services
. The result creates a bright new room for BRYC meetings, soccer referee training, and community events.
