Each season, BRYC's all star coaches hold an "Open Scrimmage" for players in age grouops U8 through U14.  The purpose of the Open Scrimmage is to allow players who are interested in playing on an all star team to be seen and evaluated by the all star coaches. Participation in the Open Scrimmage is not mandatory to be selected for all stars and, similarly, it does not guarantee selection. It is not a "tryout."  Instead, this is just asnother opportunity for the coaches to get to see the players in action.

This season we are trying something new.  We will be holding the Open Scrimmage at a single location on the same dates, Saturday May 2 and Sunday, May 3.  The schedules for each age group are listed below.  We encourage all interested players to attend.  All players attending the scrimmages should (a) sign in, bringing a copy of their birth certificate to validate age; (b) wear their BRYC jersey; and c) wear a piece of tape on the back of their jersey with their age group and coach's last name written on it in order to help the all star coaches identify the players.  Players should bring both their blue and gray jerseys to the field so that the coaches can split the players into teams.

The first Open Scrimmage will be held at Woodson West Turf Field on Saturday May 2 from 4-8  PM for the following age groups:
     4:00 PM  U9 Boys
     5:00 PM  U11 Boys and U11 Girls
     6:00 PM  U12 Boys and U12 Girls
     7:00 PM  U13/14 Boys and U13/14 Girls

The second Open Scrimmage will be held at Wakefield Rec Center on Sunday May 3 from 5-7 PM for the following age groups:
     5:00 PM  U8 Boys and U8 Girls
     6:00 PM  U10 Boys, U9 Girls, and U10 Girls
